  1. I have to say that I am intrigued. I'm not the biggest Owen Wilson fan, but I find him charming usually and this seems like sort of a mindbending type movie, which I love. So I will definitely have to give this one a watch when it's released on Prime Video on February 5th. Anyone else thinks this looks decent? https://www.imdb.com/title/tt10333426/?ref_=nm_flmg_act_5
  2. We've seen this time and time again. Instead of attempting to adapt with the times and the desires of the customer base, these companies dig in their heals and raise prices until they're out of business. They would rather go bankrupt than change up their business model and services to suit the changing market. It likely doesn't matter to the top brass. They always tend to rake in millions as their companies go under.
  3. No documentaries here, but we have been on an early to mid-90s kick with Disney+ lately. What with The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, The Lion King, Aladdin. It's been great!
  4. It is absolutely worth it if you have young children around. It has basically everything Disney, and there is a load of Disney owned content under their umbrella these days.
  5. Welcome back! Glad you're feeling better. I'm currently battling a cold.
  6. I know this is not specifically YouTube TV related, but I find the amount and duration of ads on YouTube lately have gotten entirely out of hand. I can't seem to watch even a 5 minute video without being hit with 2 pre-roll ads, and 2 to 3 mid-roll ads, followed, of course, by the ending ad/ads. What is going on? Are they doing this to help along subscriptions to their YouTube TV service? I'm guessing that's ad-free? Is that why they are bombarding us with ads? I remember the good old days when you had 1 ad at the beginning and you could skip it after 5 seconds. Now there are typically 1 to 2
  7. I enjoy a good let's play or heavily edited gameplay video on YouTube, but I have never been fond of Twitch. The live streaming aspect of it just makes it so dull to me. There is so much downtime watching someone play something in real time. I would rather watch a highlight video or something along those lines. I do enjoy some of the Minecraft build time-lapse videos. Those are awesome.
  8. I think my favorite program is also the kids' favorite program. Or maybe they've just brainwashed me from watching it so often, but we all love Gravity Falls.
  9. The home we recently moved from had the old metal pole outdoor antenna that was sunken into the ground and braced along the side of the roof. I still haven't seen an antenna get better reception than those old antennas. They were remarkable. Currently, we are antenna free and I believe we will remain that way for the foreseeable future.
  10. We tend to use Amazon's Echo extensively for weather updates. That's the first thing my wife does in the morning when she is getting ready for work, "Alexa, what's the weather?" And since you can set up routines with the Echo, my morning's usually consist of "Alexa, let's do this," at which point I get a traffic and weather update, followed by "Eye of the Tiger." And yes, I am that nerdy.
  11. After being a newspaper editor for 11-plus years, I do everything I can to stay away from the news. Most of it is garbage and anything that will affect me personally, I will probably see on Facebook or hear about through gossip before it hits the local news stations/paper.
  12. My 2 girls love watching YouTube, but when left to their own devices they end up watching some pretty questionable content. I have found that Disney+ is an excellent choice for them (ages 5 and 3) and they love watching it.
  13. I have never owned a Smart TV aside from the one we bought for our 2 girls' bedroom. My main television is a 5(ish) year old plasma. Still haven't seen a television that looks better.
  14. Well, I've been working 12 hours a day, 6 to 7 days a week since this whole Covid thing began in March/April, so I haven't been able to watch much television. However, typically, when things are normal, I guess I probably watch about 2 hours a day.
  15. Our streaming devices include a Fire TV, Roku Smart TV, Xbox One, 3 laptops, 3 tablets and my gaming PC. Our wifi at home is constantly begging for mercy.😆
